Finally, naild my shortfilm story

already into the pre-production I finally nailed the story for my shortfilm.....its just sad that it will never be made.....:-))
well, I'm going to try. :-)
At least now that I have a story I can focus a bit better on the design of it.

this is the plan
1. story/character outline
2. manuscript (not more than 5min)
3. continue and finish up concept
4. modeling (jjeeeeiiks hate that:-))
5. rigging (jjeeeeiiks hate that to:-))
6. animation (oohh love that, thumbs up)
7. rendering (??? don't know how the hell that works:-))
8. post (read above:-))

well, thats it....like stealing candy from a baby, I mean I wouldn't actually steal candy from a baby, ever.......well...unless it's those creamy chocolate things which has punch inside them...:-))

yes its true, I'm still here. Haven't been blogging to much lately....
made some small little update on my project department over at www.pigbelly.com


will very soon put up some more stuff, just waiting for the green light from the clients and files :-)

ooohhh darn...my burgers are burning, got to fetch my Budweiser and go save them...oohh life is hard :-))

3D in 3D - again

yes I went to another flick that offered the sensational 3D in 3D. The movie was Monsters vs Aliens....great movie.
BUT....the 3D technology....I don't know...

First my eyes have to re-focus every time there is a scene cut, and I heard that movie makers now are even considering to decrease scene cuts to fix this problem?

Second, what about Depth of Field, dose it work??. I can feel that in some shots everything looks like miniatures, don't know if you have seen this:





those are Tilt-shift miniature faking photos
And I do experience this when I watch this 3D in 3D stuff..


Well, I was going to write that this technology is not going to survive, that reason and love for the art of film making will prevail and that we will continued doing film the old fashion way. I changed my mind when I saw my kid Rasmus, jumping up and down trying to avoid things that really, and I felt it to, hits you in the face. I surrender to what I think is going to be the most natural thing for my kids to watch in the future. I guess that my kids, 20years from now, will try there best not let there friends know that there embarrassing dad still watches 3D animated movies......without the 3D effect...:-)

Truckers-05 - cockpit

Hi there...

First Want to wish my good friend Alli Sadegiani a save journey to Berlin, good luck dude I know you will make a statement over there, just don't make one that will put you in jail or something, Love Ya dude :-))))

So in tears I made this sketch of my Truckers cockpit, I'm going for a very condensed area, narrow like a submarine. Don't feel that I'm there yet but it getting there (in baby steps:-)).



Will make some more before I clean this up, if ever :-)

Heard that monsters vs alien's was rocking at the boxOffice.....thats great, cant wait to see the flick!!...

3D in 3D movies - a change of heart?

Well if you read my post on this subject a couple of weeks ago you would think that I was terrified to hear that all movies will be done i 3D/3D.....well I have had a change of heart here, well at least its in a changing process :-). I went and saw BOLT, and I must say that the 3D in 3D experience was quite cool. I will admit that I had a very...hm...suspicious mindset when I went to see this movie, not because its about a dog that teams up with a cat and a guinea pig, cause that is logical:-). No it was the 3D in 3D that I was worried about. At first all my apprehensions seem to be true, I had trouble focusing my eyes and my attention on the the screen and story. In time that changed and I actually started to enjoy the 3D in 3D. Yes this old dog can change, I feel change, its in the air, can almost tasted it, BUT I wont surrender so easy, I still believe that the story sometimes gets a bit chopped up by all the 3D things poking out of the screen.

In conclusion I will state that I do accept this new thing and probably learn to love it, but only in very small and suspicious steps:-))

I got totally blown away by this stop motion thing. When I write this I don't know who did it, but I will definitely find out and give credit, feel free to enlighten me on this subject :-)
